Wobei man sagen muss das Borussia Dortmund nich mehr dabei ist....The Superleague Formula racing series has just announced that an official series racing game is in developed by none other than Image Space Incorporated, creators of rFactor.
Superleague Formula’s game will feature the series spec open wheel car as well as the six tracks the series races on, the game is planned to be released in September via the Superleague Formula website.
The series uses a Elan-designed open wheel race car that is powered by a 750hp V12 engine. All teams in Superleague Formula represent a football club, notable clubs in the series roster include AC Milan, FC Porto, Liverpool FC, Glasgow Rangers and Borussia Dortmund. Even though the field consists mainly of less-known open wheel talents, some known drivers competing in SF include Tristan Gommendy, Davide Rigon, Antonio Pizzonia & Girgio Pantano.
Even though the concept of combining football and motorsports is pretty unique, the series has struggled attracting crowds in its maiden season. The second season schedule consists of six races, all on notable tracks like Monza, Zolder & Magny Cours.
It`s not known whether or not the game will be free or commercial. Most likely, the game will be using ISI’s trusted gMotor 2 engine but maybe we´ll get a sneak preview of what’s coming up with rFactor 2?
