Im Motorsport ist fast alles berechenbar und beeinflussbar. Ein zu heißer Motor provoziert einen Motorschaden, falscher Luftdruck einen platten Reifen. Ein Fahrer-Disconnect oder ein Fehler in der für uns Langstrecken-Enthusiasten ans Herz gewachsene rFactor ist bis dato leider aufgrund verschiedenster Unwegsamkeit unvorhersehbar und bis jetzt nicht unbedingt beeinflussbar. Dadurch entstanden für Teams Ausfälle für die sie keinerlei Schuld trafen. Das Rennen war dann für diese Teams leider meist schon vorbei bevor es richtig angefangen hatte - bis jetzt.
Denn VorteX-Motorsports veranstaltet eine kleine Revolution im virtuellen Langstrecken Motorsport rund um rFactor. Zum ersten Mal seit Bestehen des Missbrauchs von rFactor für Langstreckenrennen wird es möglich sein, Teams mit einem Fahrer-Disconnect innerhalb kürzester Zeit wieder zu einem Rennen hinzu zufügen. VorteX-Motorsports hat eigens dafür ein Konzept entwickelt, um dies bestmöglich umzusetzen. Dabei wird ein Fahrer-Disconnect wie ein schwerer Unfall auf der Rennstrecke behandelt. Am 9. April 2011 findet mit den 12 Stunden von Sebring 2011 – einem Event vom Simracer für Simracer - die Premiere dessen statt. Standesgemäß wird der EnduRacers Endurance Series Mod 1.0 SP1 in unveränderter Version zum Einsatz kommen. Das im eigenen Hause entwickelte Live-Timing erfasst lückenlos die aktuellen Abstände und abgespulten Runden eines jeden Teilnehmers. Im Falle eines unverschuldeten Disconnects kann die Rennsession binnen kürzester Zeit neugestartet werden und erlaubt es dem Team weiterhin am Rennen teilnehmen zu können. Das Reglement baut auf den offiziellen ACO-Regulations der ALMS auf und wurde an den Bedürfnissen des Sim-Racing angepasst. Die Fahrzeugwahl wird nur durch eine Limitierung von 10 Autos je Klasse eingeschränkt und das Rennen durchgehend von einer Live-Race-Control überwacht.

In motorsports most things are predictable and influenceable. An engine revved to high will blow up. Wrong tire pressure will lead to a puncture. A disconnect of a driver or another error in our favourite sim-racing tool rFactor is sometimes neither predictable nor influencable. Due to that the race for those corresponding teams were over before it even really started furthermore not being able to finish the race, although they could not do anything against it. But those times are possibly done.
VorteX-Motorsports prepares a little revolution in terms of virtual motorsports around rFactor. At the very first time since misusing rFactor for long distance races it will be possible to let disconnected team drivers rejoin the server within shortest time to continue the race again. VorteX-Motorsports especially developed a concept to implement this in a more or less optimal way. Due to this concept the situation around a disconnected driver will effectively be treated like a heavy crash on the racetrack. All this premieres at April 09th 2011 with the 12h of Sebring 2011 – an event from simracers for simracers. Of course the one and only EnduRacers Endurance Series Mod 1.0 SP1 will be used – and of course absolutely untouched. The indoor developed Live-Timing logs the current overall standings including the lap gaps to each other from every competitor. In case of a driver disconnect the race session can be recovered within shortest time in order to allow the disconnected competitor along with her/his team to finish his race. The regulations are base on the official ALMS ACO-Regulations, modified to the needs of sim-racing. The choice of your vehicle is only limited by a maximum of 10 vehicles per class. Throughout the whole race, there will be a Live-Race-Control which controls and manages the race till the chequered flag.
