for the clio you have to change the materials. its a known problem of the car

About RAM consumption:

Just wanted to take a whole field out, but no chance: 2,4Gb RAM just for rFactor, so I tried half of the cars and got a CTD at 2Gb.
With 25 cars I still had a RAM consumption of 1.22 GB. Couldn´t believe, so I tried the FIA GT Mod (comparable cars and textures and a lot different cars), but guess: only 770 Mb with 25 cars AI. So I tried again rfactor with only one car: 350 Mb (everything with NS 2.0). That´s 420 Mb for the GT cars and 870 Mb for the VLN cars.

So the question is why does the VLN mod (wich I adore) take 200% Mb RAM to the FIA GT mod?

in the fia gt mod you have many things wich the cars can share, and the models are build for pretty good perfomance. At all i didnt saw a multi car mod with better performance then the fia gt mod.
But every additional model on the track, raises the used RAM a lot. rF loads for it all needed model datas and all used texture. So you can get very fast a really high RAM usage

I want to state clear: I do not want to flame the mod at all, just critizism for getting better.

Did another test with all settings to low, so I can run 105 cars just. (Takes 2Gb RAM).
Started a race and all seemed well, but before the start 55 cars were out of field (crashed, overheated) with rfactor standart damage settings. Have I something overread about that in the readme?

I wonder if anybody is able to enjoy a full field with all settings maxed and what resolution he's using.

This is really something new to me, I have never had any performance problems with rFactor so far. But thanks to the mod, I discovered a potential problem with my PSU, the new one arrives tomorrow.

You´lll need at least 3 Gigs of RAM. I guess other components do not have to be from tomorrow.
I have a AMD X2 4600 and a X1950 pro 512 Mb. I guess that should ahndle it, but I cannot get all the textures to load at max.
For me 85 cars and maxed own car and track and middle AI works just with 2Gig Ram.

Der grafikspeicher ist auch nicht weniger wichtig, da alle texturen dort abgelegt werden. Also für ein volles Feld auf der Nordschleife, bei voller auflösung und qualiät, wird man sicherlich mehr als 512mb grafikspeicher benötigen.

so bei mir lüft jetzt alles wunderbar. hab einfach die STEX in die Fahrzeugordner gepackt und die Textur probleme sind beseitigt!!!!

Absolut top arbeit!! Wenn Jetzt noch einer die Clio Skins für DX8 hinbekommt, bin ich glücklich

Are you using a 64bit operating system because a 32bit will only see 3GB of RAM?

important info... dont use TV Style Plugin with more than 59 cars!!! The Plugin makes bad FPS and/or CTD
